I use this monitor for travel as an extended desktop for my laptop so I don’t mount the screen. I use the folding stand that comes with it or insert a pen into the hole in the lower left corner to prop it up. Hope it helps...

You can do so with the appropriate cable. But be aware that this is only a monitor/display. It does not have speakers. So you will have to send the audio from your dvd/Blu-ray device to some other audio output.
