So I was looking for a portable monitor that worked with my Mac Studio m1 max and this is perfect for it!! It actually let me use the "scaled" option and change the size of the text like your macbook would. It's the only screen I found (so far) that would actually work with my Mac.Only thing that struck me as different from several reviews (mostly from 2019), was the case wasn't a nice leather outside, nor did it actually attach to the stand. There was also no soft inner fabric in the case like I saw on some reviews from 2019 (maybe they just changed the make/model). Otherwise, this is exactly what I needed and I love it, even if the price point is a bit higher than I wanted to go.

I'm reviewing the UPERFECT Truely 4K Computer Monitor, 15.6" IPS UHD 3840X2160 USB C MonitorI've been using this as a secondary monitor with my my 38 inch ultrawide for both work and gaming. I like to keep chat applications, videos, and misc. browsers on the uperfect monitor. Since this is an IPS monitor, viewing angles are great and color looks almost the same as my ultrawide. Make sure to turn off hardware acceleration on apps you're using on the secondary monitor if 60hz differs from your main monitor.I've also tested gaming directly on the monitor and it worked well, which works well for 60hz gaming, but I recommend downscaling to 1920x1080p or 2560x1440p or it will look too small.About a year later I decided to move the UPERFECT monitor off the VESA mount but since it is very thin, you should be extra careful not to damage the screen. I wasn't careful enough, but since it was within the warranty period, the UPERFECT product support was able to quickly send me a newer version of the monitor hassle free.I highly recommend this monitor for anyone who wants a secondary monitor, but doesn't want a large 27 inch screen on the side. This is also good for work setups and being mobile with the included magnetic cover/stand!

Update: spoke to the seller and we fixed a few of my issues. Turning off HDR on the monitor and in the Mac OS settings fixed most of my color issues. I then ran it through a color calibration pass with my probe and it looks even better. I’ve also gotten more used to the buttons, and honestly, once it’s setup, you rarely use them. Happy camper now.Original: Maybe I expected too much after all the glowing reviews, but this seems pretty mediocre, honestly. Build quality is okay, but it’s not built like an iPad or MacBook or anything great, just decent. Screen is sharp, but colors are too hot to do anything that needs color accuracy. I’m usually using high end displays though, so maybe I’m spoiled. The 2 real weak spots are the buttons used for the menus (super confusing and annoying) and the fact that you can’t fine tune the monitor with color setting like saturation. I’ll probably be returning this and going back to my 4 year old dell screen.

This is a very nice monitor and the cables and power adapter included are very nice. It's comparable to my Dell XPS15 4k screen and they look great right next to each other.But I really want to point out that when I had a minor issue related to shipping damage uperfect was super helpful, super responsive and I couldn't ask for better customer service.

To anyone seeing this. The monitor got lots of option 15.6 inch I'm talking about. This monitor got freesync, HDR, Low blue light, different color presets such as 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0 and when you choose 4:2:0 you can switch from 8 bit color to 10 bit color and there is an option for the 12 bit color. I use AMD card and I can confirm that freesync works

I have been using this monitor for 8 months now and have really enjoyed it. I have tested both USB-C and HDMI connections and they work great. The monitor is very easy to travel with and well protected in the case.I had one minor defect that I ignored for months but decided to reach out to UPERFECT. Even though I was way after the return period and such UPERFECT was extremely responsive and helped me out. I was shocked and have never had that good of customer service. Even when we just asked how to do something because we lost the manual, UPERFECT still responded quickly to help with a simple little question.

I read a lot of reviews of many portable 4K portable USB monitors. By looking at the controls, most come out of the same factory with different brand names stenciled on them. Looking at the UPERFECT 15.6" 4K display, it is clearly built differently than others.I am writing this review in August of 2022. Some features appear to be updated. The protective cover is attached on the back of the display magnetically and there are no longer screws holding back in place. The cover design works very well in supporting the monitor in a stable position. The monitor is thicker than I would like it to be. With that said it seem to weigh the same as the ASUS MB161+ that it replaced.I have a HP ZBook Studio with a NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU running Window 11 Pro. The native resolution of the laptop monitor is 4K. I use this computer and external monitor for business and not gaming. I was able to power the monitor along with 4K display at 60% brightness with a single included USB C (Thunderbolt?) cable connected to a Thunderbolt 3 cable on the laptop without any issues.The color appears good. The color is not identical to the laptop display so both displays would need to be calibrated with a color calibration tool to get them to exactly match. The display on the laptop is a shiny touch screen and the NPERFECT monitor is matte finish. I'm not sure if the eye would perceive and exact match in this scenario. For business travel use, it works great for me.I have not had the monitor long enough to know if there will be any flickering or "redetect" cycles.Bottom line, as long as it holds up, I am very happy with my choice since it is working without external power. It is an excellent choice for my portable monitor needs.

Update - Uperfect reached out to me worked through some debugging after we determined the monitor was not functional they sent me a replacement. Monitor is working perfectly and taking it on a business trip next week. Thanks for reaching out Uperfect!!! 5/5 after they helpedDon't be fooled by this piece of junk, used only twice and now it will not power up, tried multiple cables and different power supplies, don't waste your money or time. Less than 6 months old. and trying to find out who to go to for warranty repair is impossible

It arrived fairly quick and I started using immediately- at least that was my plan.The screen had fingerprint smudges in several spots that any dark images the deep blacks are ruined. I took pictures and sent to Uperfect multiple times and after 4 weeks they finally got back to me asking for more pics and videos.I sent them all immediately and then the silence... it's been 6 months. Meanwhile the monitor is unused, I blew few hundred bucks in the pandemic economy. I don't mean to be prejudice, but this kind of customer service is simply unacceptable in developed countries, if China tries to shoulder its status that way.Otherwise monitor itself is sharp and relatively bright. Power management is much to be desired- USB-C cables cannot feed power and image unless it's set in low brightness.

This is a pricey but huge upgrade over the 15" 1080p portable that I had originally bought. The 1080p is noticeably grainy when you're accustomed to a Macbook Retina screen, and it was very unsatisfying. When this monitor arrived, I took it out of the packaging, unplugged the 15" and plugged in this 17" 4K with the USB-C cable, and without a hiccup I immediately had a full 4K desktop. Single cable USB-C from the laptop gives you enough brightness (>70) to work without a separate USB-C power connection, and a few tweaks of the settings to customize brightness/contrast/sharpness I'm working away with this as the primary monitor for my laptop. (The buttons for menu control are not intuitive or well placed but you may only use them once in a while so that's at best a minor irritant.)I can't speak to the gaming performance but the size, clarity, and brightness of this monitor make it an outstanding portable monitor for use on your travels. My use case is to keep my laptop for use on the plane, or sitting in a meeting/conference, but this monitor + external keyboard brings a workstation-like environment to your hotel room. Again, pricey, but there's a lot of bang for those bucks.

Well: I hooked it into my Mac, which it did recognize as an external display, but the monitor itself didn't work!! It may have been due to the rough nature in which it was shipped, so sadly, I never was able to experience what it actually could do....I went ahead and did a refund of this purchase (at least for now), and will continue looking in the future for something else that truly works (with, prayerfully, no more shipping issues).

I use several portable monitors, but this is my first that is larger than 15". What a difference two more inches makes. The 17.3" model is the perfect second screen for my Surface Book 2 when working at the dining room table.This monitor is bright and its image quality excellent. The built-in menu provides comprehensive options for customizing the image--many more options than on my other portable monitors.One limitation is that the display brightness is effectively limited to 90% of maximum when a Microsoft Surface Dock 2 provides the video signal via USB-C (technical support was excellent and helped me diagnose the issue quickly). Connecting the Surface Book 2 (or my Surface Go 2) directly via USB-C works perfectly, though, which in my case is more convenient anyways. (I orient the portable monitor upside down so that the USB-C ports on the Surface Book and display are near each other and only a short USB-C cable is needed to connect them.)I am considering purchasing another one of these 17.3" monitors to turn my GPD Pocket 3 (mini laptop with 8" screen) into a real desktop computer (already checked that it works great with this monitor via HDMI).Highly recommended.

I believe they have minor differences between firmware and its capability.

Does the monitor have motion smoothing or motion interpolation?

No however I'm very confident that motion smoothing is not available in a computer monitor. It is deliver through the video processor. The process works by adding a latency (overlap) as each frame is transitioned. This is an excellent monitor for emails, word processing and computer coding tasks. It isn't really designed for watching videos but still does a great job.

Is this a qled model?

Because this is a 17.3" 4K monitor, the power required for work will be relatively large. If your device cannot provide enough power for the monitor, you need to provide an external power supply or a PD power bank to power the monitor. If you don't want to use an external power supply, you may need to lower the brightness and contrast ratio to achieve a USB C to C connection. Windows 10 is not recognozing the monitor has hdr capable. how can i fix this?

Need to make sure if computer graphics card supports it. The HDR function in Win10 sometimes does not work if the computer does not meet the requirements; our monitor can enter the menu and set to 2048, or set to automatic, the device will automatically adjust when it needs to improve the image quality when playing;

Has anyone had any true to color issues? I use this for pixel map to QC video signals, and although it works, color is not accurate.

My colors are also off. When light grey and pink are next to each other I can barely tell the difference. When I move the window from the external monitor back to my MacBook Air it's dramatically different. On the MacBook I can see the distinction between the colors. I wonder if there is a color profile I can install to address this?
