I was able to connect it one time via USB C - USB C on my macbook air 2022 and afterwards it gives a message saying "No signal". Now every time I'd like to use the monitor I also need to use an hdmi cable which defeats the purpose of why I got the monitor in the first place.

Prime day no, 2 purchase. Item arrived at warp speed.... however it was evident it was smaller and not the product I purchased. Bought, received and returned all in the same day. Replacement screen came 2 days later, correct item this time, nice resolution, EXTREMELY lightweight. the ports are kind of janky, and makes me feel that disconnecting and connecting the cables more than a few times will break them.Either way, I needed a screen, and it'll do for now.

Please also see my video review above.So, I bought this is a 16” inch 2k portable monitor from Uperfect, and wanted to share my thoughts. While the dimensions are close to a full-size laptop it has just a fraction of the weight. Something like this really gives you a few extra options for your laptop, a phone or a tablet, or a gaming system. You can use it as secondary monitor or a stand-alone display. By the way, you can also mount it on a stand at home, as this model that I got has VESA holes.The thing that stands out to me the most is that the panel itself has a matte surface, so it’s non-reflective unlike the majority of the displays that are glossy to a various degree and are somewhat hard to see, unless you are in the dark environment. The downside of that is that colors don’t pop as they would on a glossy screen but it’s not as big of a deal to me.The second thing that stands out is 500 nits of brightness, which is well above average, as the monitors I have looked at mostly have around 250 to 400 nits.I feel like the resolution is just fine at 2k, it’s 2560 by 1600. While I like having a 4k option, 2k is the sweet spot for this size.Now let me mention a couple things you may care about. When I opened and connected the monitor, the settings were out of whack. So if you do decide to buy one, don’t be scared when you first power it on. I had to change the settings to get it to where the colors did not look washed out and I used my laptop with an OLED panel as a benchmark.In the video you can see my monitor and my laptop side by side. Do keep in mind, that this panel will not match the colors of my laptop’s OLED screen 100% but as you can see it does not look bad by any means.If you are connecting this monitor to a laptop or a PC, there is enough power going through USB-c to power the monitor from your computer without using an external power supply, with a caveat that you are running it at 1080p. If you want a good 2k experience without any flickering, then you will need to connect the monitor to an external power supply, which it comes with. By the way, you can use a full-size HDMI cable as well instead of USB-c. No dongles required.So, in my opinion this monitor provides a well-rounded package at a good price. If you are a big movie connoisseur then you may want to compare this monitor to the one with a a QLED panel but it will cost a lot more and it will have a glossy screen. If you need a monitor for work and play, this could be it as it checks many boxes. The text is crisp and the colors are fine if you don’t mind playing around with the settings a little bit. It’s also great as a second monitor if you are doing a lot of coding, I would just mount it vertically on my desk.

When I get the get the display, I was surprised that the weight is so light. Which turns out it is using plastic as outside enclosure material. At first I was frustrate with the plastic. since it is a portable device, it should be more rugged with metal like material to build. But after few days experience. I found it is actually very useful, especially if you are traveling with backpack and carry everything on your back. Compare to the one I have previously, it is kind of relief.Brightness is one of the thing I want to address, for some of the portable display I purchased, the brightness level is about 250 nits and it is horrible when you use it under the sunlight, or even under the room with bright light. I know it is not sunlight readable panel, but the quality of this panel is actually exceed my expect.

I bought this monitor to use with my 2022 Asus M16 16" Laptop. It's a matte panel that is an excellent pair with my laptop.Rating breakdown:Picture Quality 10/10:This is a 2k screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 which is the same as my Asus M16. The screen is very vivid and bright and looks just as good as the M16 screen does. The M16 is known for having an excellent, bright display.Folio Case/Stand 9/10:The included case/stand is quality and useful. It can prop the monitor up at a couple different angles. I found myself needing more angling positions because I like to use it in bed, so I purchased the "UPERFECT Portable VESA Monitor Stand with Hand Screw" which attaches nicely to the back VESA holes included with the monitor. The magnetizing on the folio case is not super strong and slips easily if you push it around.Sound 5/10:I'm very happy this monitor comes with speakers; however, the quality is not as good as my laptop. I just use the speakers on my laptop. The included headphone jack also seems to lack bass and fullness compared to the headphone jack on my laptop.I highly recommend this monitor. It's an amazing value for the picture quality and resolution. I had a defective monitor outside of the amazon 30 day return period and UPERFECT support was amazing and quickly helped me get a replacement free of charge. When I first received the monitor it was damaged and smudged, but after emailing UPERFECT I resolved the problem and they sent me a second monitor within 3 days. The new monitor is amazing. The quality is great for the price. The brightness is great at 500 nits and is brighter than my laptop display. I had a problem with the letters and desktop icons being too small to read and look at. So to fix this go into the Display settings and select the 2nd (UPERFECT) monitor and then scrolled down to Scale and Layout and selected 125% scaling (or whatever you want) for the 2nd monitor. This change has made a big difference as I didn't really have to go into the setting on the monitor itself and mess around with it.

Wish I could give it zero stars. I received my screen and tested it on my MacbookPRO16. via USB-C, It looked fine. I put it on the shelf and finally had a need for it and took it to a job site after a couple of months. Upon setting it up I discovered that the screen is cracked. It's been sitting in a box for 2 months and now its damaged. I don't expect them to honor it under warranty. but I honestly haven't use it for more than 5 minutes total. Way to fragile. I can't recommend it. I can't imagine carrying it in a backpack with my laptop.The whole screen feels cheap. Case is plastic and flexes a lot. I've used iPads, MacBooks, Windows Laps for over 25 years and this is the first broken screen that I've had. I guess I should be happy it's not a $1200 iPad and only a $150 screen.10/9/22. Support from this seller is outstanding. After reading my review. They reached out to me and offered a replacement unit. Their engineer tested the display prior to shipping. Their customer service kept in constant contact with me till I received the unit and tested it. I did use it on a job where it performed as expected. I use it as a portable tv monitor for testing AV installations where the tv is located in a different room from the equipment rack. I’ve also used it a couple of times as a second screen on my MacBook pro via USB-C. That’s pretty simple as it only needs one cable. When booking up to HDMI. The display is powered by an included USB AC adapter.Bottom line, this display is an inexpensive screen for the few times that I need screen. I’m happy with my purchase and the fantastic support provided. It’s nice to see a company that stands behind their product.10/12/22. I actually purchased two of these as part of an effort to get my home office set up. These being 16:10, they are perfect to use in a vertical orientation for reviewing documents. This, plus the fact that they are VESA compatible is what caused me to choose this particular item.The monitors worked great but wound up not working for my particular needs. However, I would still recommend this product.The product itself is about what you’d expect, although it was a little cheaper feeling than I would have expected. I got the impression that they could not handle much roughhousing at all, but they are also the only portable monitors I’ve ever used, so perhaps that is normal.If I ever did need to buy a portable monitor in the future, I would likely purchase one that is name brand that I can touch and feel in store first.The picture quality was fine. The resolution does adjust, contrary to what another reviewer said. With the brightness all the way down, it was still too bright, but luckily the contrast setting helped with that.

I bought this monitor to have a dual screen with my laptop. I go to site visits and when analyzing data one little 15" screen isn't enough. There are a few connection options, but for me a mini-HDMI cable to my laptop and a USB-C for the power works best. You have choices because the product comes with 3-4 cables. The case works as a cover and a stand for the monitor. Be careful though, the screen isn't attached to the case so there is the chance it could fall out and get damaged.I'm pleased with the monitor performance now, but I did have an issue earlier. I purchased the monitor in April and by July there were lines at the bottom of the screen. I hadn't really used it so I was bummed that it was having problems so early. I reached out to the seller, and after some trouble shooting, they sent me a replacement monitor and return shipping for the original monitor. The true test of a seller isn't when everything goes right, but rather the reaction when something goes wrong. I think UPERFECT handled the situation well.

This is the biggest screen I could find which is lightweight, portable, and can run off a battery pack or straight from a laptop/MacBook with no extra power source making it ideal for work purposes and multi-screening. The size, definition, and lightweight nature have also allowed me to use it as a portable monitor for raspberry pi running retorpie, this screen is big enough for four players!The case which comes with the screen and cables and all high quality also, the case has kept the monitor protected and safe when I've been transporting it. This 2K monitor delivers a lot of screen real estate in a very slim package. The picture quality is crisp and clear and it connects seamlessly to my MacBook Pro with a single USB-C/Thunderbolt cable (included). The build quality feels very stable.I think the only thing that could be improved is the stand so that it could support vertical orientation. For now, this is easily the best 2K portable monitor I’ve tried so far.

Keeps flickering.So I wanted to try a 2k portable monitor and unfortunately this one didn't quite worked for me. I tried both type-c and hdmi cables but no luck. Tried on two separate laptops.. the same result. Will have to return.UPD: so I received another monitor after contacting with the customer service. They did a great job explaining the problem and asking me to give it another chance which I did and now I can confirm that the previous one was faulty.Overall the monitor has great brightness and color reproduction.
